Milford Haven Milford Haven was developed by Quakers in the 18th century as a new town and whaling port. Since then it has undergone a new development to attract tourist to this pretty town. One of the main attractions of the new development is the 150-bert marina. A host of other visitor attractions include Kaleidoscope Discovery Centre, Dockside Gallery and museum, go-kart track, nature trail, 9-hole golf course and pleasure boat trips. There is also top class leisure and sports facilities including the great 18-hole golf course and the famous Torch Theatre which attracts top stars to tread the boards.
Pembroke The castle found at Pembroke is probably one of the finest to be found any where in Wales. Famously the birth place of Henry VII the castle dominates the charming walled town. Throughout the year the town and castle play host too many events, often linked to its historic past. Medieval banquets, military tattoos, the Sealed Knot Society displays and Shakespearean productions are events to be found throughout the year.
Just two miles from the town is Pembroke Dock which is great for boating and other water sports. The dock also operates a ferry service with daily crossings to Rosslare in Ireland.
Tenby The pretty harbour town of Tenby dates back to 1328 and this picturesque location is one of the most photographed places in all of Wales. These days the town is the centre for water and leisure facilities. From the harbour your can fish, sail, windsurf, water-ski and parascend or for more sedate activities you can take a pleasure cruise to or around the Islands of Caldey and St Margarets. The town also has not one but two 18-hole golf courses, an award winning museum and much, much more to see and do.
Saundersfoot
The fishing village of Saundersfoot is a popular destination with tourist. The village is located at the foot of a beautiful wooded valley and has great golden sandy beaches and attractive harbour. The harbour is a haven for waters sports and fishing. The start of the 186 mile Pembrokeshire Coast Path can be found just outside the village at Amroth.
