Kyocera Mita Delivers Three New Monochrome Printers
Kyocera Mita has expanded its ECOSYS line of monochrome laser printers with the launch of FS-4020DN , FS-3920DN and FS-2020D printers. The company claims that the new printers will present a low total cost of ownership.
All three printers print at a best print resolution of 1200 dpi and support automatic duplex printing. They come with a standard memory of 128 MB that can be upgraded up to 1.15 GB.
Printing speeds are top notch for all the three printers. The FS-4020DN can print at a speed of 47 pages per minute while FS-3920DN at 42 pages per minute and FS-2020D at 37 pages per minute. Maximum paper handling capacity is set at 2500 pages for the top two models and 1100 pages for the base model, FS-2020D.
Monthly duty cycle is humongous for 4020DN at 250,000 pages, 200,000 pages for 3920D and 150,000 pages for 2020D.
Connectivity to printers are through USB 2.0 port that doubles up to read data from USB drives. Lack of inherent network option is a surprise as the current trend in the market points steadily towards the need to network all accessories and peripherals.
However, these printers are made compatible with KX Driver for Windows, PPD for Macs and PPD for Linux/UNIX as well as Mini Driver and Windows 64 bit engines. They support a wide range of print management tools such as KMnet Viewer, KMnet Admin, KMnet for Accounting and PrintQ Manager.
All the three Kyocera printer models and currently available in the market. The FS-4020DN carries a price tag of ?750 and the base model FS-2020D at ?500. The FS-3920DN is priced at ?700.
